The holy grill celebrates its premiere in Essen and Munich

It`s Barbecue time! On January 7, THE HOLY GRILL celebrated its world premiere at the Lichtburg cinema in Essen and got off to a convincing start. More than 1,200 guests were eager to be the first to see Marcus H. Rosenmüller’s new comedy, based on the successful boulevard theater play by Moritz Netenjakob and Dietmar Jacobs, on the big screen. The film was presented for the first time in the presence of the director, the two authors, and the entire main cast, including Hape Kerkeling, Christoph Maria Herbst, Fahri Yardim, Anja Knauer, and Friedrich Mücke.

Even during the screening at the Lichtburg in Essen, it was clear that this special treat was a hit. Lots of laughter, spontaneous applause, and a noticeably relaxed atmosphere in the theater characterized the evening. At the same time, it wasn’t just pure entertainment. The film also sparked conversations and discussions afterwards.

Less than 24 hours later, the tour continued to Munich. The grill was fired up again at the Mathäser Filmpalast. With the director, writers, and cast in attendance, EXTRAWURST filled the theater, eliciting numerous laughs and lively discussions after the credits rolled. Two premiere nights, two cities, one consistently positive response. A start that whets the appetite for the coming weeks at the cinema.

After its huge success on the theater stage, THE HOLY GRILL is now conquering the cinema. Hape Kerkeling, Christoph Maria Herbst, Fahri Yardim, Anja Knauer, Friedrich Mücke, Gaby Dohm, and Milan Peschel appear together in front of the camera.
