Lieblingsfilm GmbH is a Munich-based film production company with a passion for stories that resonate – on the big screen, on television, and increasingly in serial formats. We create theatrical and TV films for national and international audiences alike, combining artistic ambition with broad appeal.
Founded in 2008 by producers Thomas Blieninger and Philipp Budweg together with directors Marcus H. Rosenmüller, Stefan Betz and Johannes Schmid – originally under the name schlicht und ergreifend Film GmbH – the company has grown steadily ever since. Producer Robert Marciniak joined in 2010, and a year later the company took on its current name: Lieblingsfilm GmbH.
Recent highlights include The Holy Grill (Extrawurst), directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller – one of the most successful German comedies in recent years, with over 2 million admissions. The arthouse hit Time We Lost (Dann passiert das Leben), directed by Neele Leana Vollmar, further reflects our commitment to character-driven, audience-friendly storytelling.
